Katy Perry Decides to Dye her Hair

In 2011 Katy Perry divorced her husband Russell Brand due to cheating allegations and his sex addiction, so she recorded a bunch of empowerment songs and went on the rebound with other bad boy John Mayer.

Unfortunately, last month Katy found some sketchy texts in John's phone that also insinuated cheating, so Katy left him too.

Boys can be a bummer, but the fun thing about breaking up with somebody? REINVENTING YOURSELF!

Katy Perry told a reporter at E! that she plans to dye her hair green and begin collecting art. "I'm going to slowly become an art collector," Perry told reporter Marc Malkin at MOCA's 35th Anniversary Gala Presented by Louis Vuitton. "Today, we had an all-day art crawl. We got to see some private collections from some people's homes[...] then we went to a couple of galleries."

Katy explained that works by Picasso, James Turell, Roy Lichtenstein and Jeff Koons really inspired her-- she said she was drawn most to the modern contemporary art "and pop art, of course." Perry also showed interest in the photography of Cindy Sherman and Lee Friedlander, and explained that she would love an art history education to go along with her newfound interest.

This is all a long-term plan for Katy, obviously, since she is about to embark on a world tour to promote her 2013 album PRISM. It starts in early May in Belfast, Ireland, and will snake its way through Europe before coming to this side of the pond and South America. When E! asked Perry what we should expect from the PRISM tour, this is what she had to say:

"I'm challenging myself again, pushing my limits as I do, as a Scorpion does. I'm very excited because I believe this is my best work yet as far as live performances. It's going to be just as colorful and fun as before, but obviously not based on candy. It's grown up. It's more mature."

Not based on candy, but based on the rainbow-- that's a step in the mature direction, I suppose. Also, did anybody understand that whole Scorpion analogy? It went completely over my head.

OH Katygirl. We just want you to be happy.
