I know what today's kids need! A good ol' fashioned bedtime story written by none other than Keith Richards.

Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones recently signed a deal with the publisher Little, Brown Books for Young Readers on a book titled "Gus and Me: The Story of my Granddad and my First Guitar"that is set to be published in 2015.

The book will be about Keith's grandfather and musician Gus Dupree, who toured England with a jazz band called 'Gus Dupree and his Boys' back in the 1920s and 30s. Keith credits Gus for fostering his interest in playing guitar.

The book is going to co-written by Barnaby Harris and Bill Shapiro and will be illustrated by Keith's twenty-eight year old model daughter Theodora Richards. This will be Theodora's first illustration project, unless you count the time she was arrested in 2011 for writing graffiti on a church in New York and said to the cops, "I hope I don't get in trouble for this," when they discovered marijuana on her person. That definitely counts I think.

If you'll remember, Keith Richard's published a memoir called "Life" in 2010 that was co-written with James Fox, which was given a lot of positive attention from critics and won the 2011 Norman Mailer Prize in the Biography category. Little, Brown is a prominent kids publisher (they publish all of the Arthur books) and the pitch is a unique one, so who wants to take bets on how many hipster Brooklyn babies are going to have this book put on their shelves by their trendy parents?

Keith Richards is seventy years old and has five grandchildren of his own. I'm definitely behind this idea, but why do three people need to assist in writing a children's book? I say Little, Brown leaves Keith to his own devices to come up with something completely original. LOL JUST KIDDING, they couldn't sell that stuff to children under ten to read. Nay, scratch that-- nor children under twenty-one.
