Lady Gaga Makes A Splash At SXSW, Delivers Inspiring Speech

Lady Gaga is a dish best served piping hot, especially when she's on fire (vocally, of course) onstage in front of thousands of adoring fans and fellow artists. The temptress took the stage for the first-time at this year's South By Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) on Doritos' Bold Stage on Thursday (March 13).

Not only did the pop goddess perform several ARTPOP album tracks, such as "Aura," "Swine" and "Jewels & Drugs," but Gaga performed one of her most well-known smashes, "Bad Romance," from her The Fame Monster.

With her closing song "Gypsy," Mother Monster made a declaration of hope. "I want to dedicate this song to the tragedy of last night," she said. Of course, she mean the hit-and-run which resulted in two deaths and 23 injuries on an Austin street. "We're all just wandering the earth, trying to find each other. We all just want to have a good time and suck every bit of love that we can out of life."

She continued, "It's just so short sometimes and so unfair. Sometimes things happen, and we go, 'what's happening in the world?' I think we should take this one moment and do that thing where you put your phones away and look at each other right now in this moment and just be right here."

"When you leave the earth, nobody's gonna give a f*ck what you tweeted. Nobody's gonna care what picture you posted. They're not gonna care how famous I was. They're gonna care what you leave here on this earth, your footprint," she preaches, humbly.

She added, before launching into the ballad, "They're gonna care whose lives you saved and people that you touched. When you go home, grab your guitar and grab your piano and grab your pen and paper and don't give up. Don't let the machine and don't let the technology take you into a place where you don't belong."
