NSync's JC Chasez and Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams are colliding in a cool new venture, joining the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar this summer. Williams is set to portray Mary, and Chasez will play Pilate.

The musical, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, will launch in New Orleans on June 9 and continue throughout the country.

The new resurrected version also stars John Lydon (as King Herod), Incubus' Brandon Boyd (as Judas) and Ben Forster (as the son of God).

“I’m here to sing with the King of the Jews, who could ask for anything more?” Lydon said in a statement on Friday (April 4).

The original Broadways show premiered in 1971 and earned five Tony Award nominations. A film adaptation followed in 1973. The most well-known songs include "What's the Buzz?" ''Superstar," ''Everything's Alright" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him."

The new venture is billed as an arena-sized rock experience.

Tickets, ranging from $44.50-$199.50, go on sale on April 11 at 10 a.m.

Williams and Boyd took to Good Morning America to make the official announcement.
